Fixing Pairing and Signal/Connection Issues

You will need the Paralinx Manager tool found here. Please ensure you are using the latest version of this Paralinx Manager software. You can check by going to the About tab in the software. You can and should do this on both transmitters and receivers that are having issues.

Quick Troubleshooting process (Do this first):

1. With the USB unplugged, turn on your unit.
2. Plug the USB into your unit and into the computer and open Paralinx Manager.
3. Select the appropriate device when prompted (Tx is transmitter and Rx is receiver).
4. In Paralinx Manager, go to the Status tab and click Send Message.
5. Send the message "storagerestore", without quotes.
6. Once the message sends, go to the Settings tab and click Select Region.
7. Select your region correctly even if it already seems to be set. It is necessary to set the region after doing "storagerestore".
8. Once the unit restarts, go to the "Upgrade" tab, Load from Web, then click Advanced Options. Check Radio 1 and update that one only.

Try pairing again once this process is complete on all your equipment or just the equipment having problems.

Full Troubleshooting Process (if the above one does not work or does not fix the problem):

Note: Once this process is started, please do it all the way through. It is designed to be completed in full and stopping partway will cause issues until you finish it.

***Steps 1-7 are identical to the Quick Troubleshooting Process and can be skipped if you've already done them***

8. Once the unit restarts, turn it off again and unplug the USB from your unit. You can use the switch to turn off the receiver, but you have to take the LEMO out for the transmitter.
9. Start up the unit in recovery mode. To do this on the receiver, use a paper clip to hold the R2 button on the side, then turn on the unit with the switch and stop holding R2 when the unit has turned on. For the transmitter, hold L with a paper clip while plugging in the LEMO, then let go when the unit has turned on. This is all with the USB out.
10. Once your unit has booted in recovery mode, plug the USB back in to your unit and select the appropriate device in Paralinx Manager again.
11. Go to the Upgrade tab and click Load from Web.
12. Once it finishes loading, click Advanced Options.
13. Select both Radio 1 and Radio 2, then click Start Upgrade.
14. Once the update is fully complete, click OK and plug the USB out of your unit.
15. With the USB out, restart the unit normally (not recovery mode), plug the USB back in, and select the device in Paralinx Manager again.
16. Go back to the Upgrade tab and into Advanced Options again.
17. Update both Radio 1 and Radio 2 one more time now. This is the final step.
18. Once this entire process is complete on all your devices, you can pair everything.
